Clean
Did some more cleaning then did some more painting. I switched from the cheap primer (I will get rid of that) to the Interlux PreKote.
I noticed that if the saloon did not need to have two berths in it – it could be made much more open – it would feel much larger. For me – it needs the two additional berths.
120v
Started the install of the new socket. This also involves replacing another household 120v wire with tinned wire and replacing a temp junction box.
I decided to install the new socket in the brass vent. May have to trim the back of drawer to make this work. The vent was probably installed when a frig was installed in this cabinet. If I remove it I will have to patch the hole so I have decided to leave it.
Removed temp junction ‘box’. The problem with this one is that it has two bars and the junction is for a number of 3-wire cables.
The new one has independent terminals and I will use jumpers to create 3 connection points.
I will leave the existing socket because it is useful with a power bar attached to it and I use it for powering the Starlink.
I will complete this work tomorrow.
