Picked up the newly refinished bits today. The main post needs a tiny spot addressed so I will get that back on Friday. Otherwise – all good. Install (with the help of a friend) sometime next week.
Picked up the Windlass at the fabricators and dropped it off at the refinishers. I left 11 pieces at the refinishers – the rest went back to the boathouse. I gather it will take two weeks to get the bits back from the refinishers. The big question is how fast that new motor will spin….
Doing the final install of the new glass on the skylight was a bit of a ‘gong show’. This was mostly because of poor light. I had a small flood light but I found myself throwing a shadow over my working area etc. I pushed on and in about 30 minutes I was done… but…
