Wheel House Roof

Posted on April 20, 2022 by admin

Well I ‘bit the bullet’ and ordered some new teak trim. The folks are also going to produce new corners for me using 2 of the old corners that are in good enough shape to be used as templates (one back and one front). I am also getting them to send some oak cove I need for inside the wheel house (ceiling). Unfortunately this is not going to arrive for about a month.

I also ordered some varnish (Epifanes Gloss +UV) and some paint (Interlux Brightside in a Hatters Off-White).

I am planning on installing the canvas soon. I have noticed that the canvas width is only barely able to cover the edge in some areas. I think it will do – but just. The extra length is for use in making covers for the windlass and possibly some other things like the cowlings.
