Spent some time wiring in the forward head into the ‘Forward’ D-Box. The forward head has two wall mounted lights which share the same circuit. So there is just one wire pair. I found the old wire to be something more likely to be found in a door bell than in a boat. Super thin solid wire. So I ripped out 90% of the run and replaced with some boat-grade 14 awg. Overkill for 2 led lights but the standard I have been applying for most of these runs.

I left some extra wire for use in replacing the rest of the old wire ‘when the time comes’. I am not interested in tearing up the forward head at the moment (although I do plan on replacing the toilet soon).

I was surprised to find a 120v wire running to the forward head. A quick look about did not reveal a purpose so, at this point, I think it is unused wire. I will revisit this ‘some time down the road’.
