The conditions for taking Euphemia out of the boathouse were perfect. no wind, calm sea, high tide, and two of the boats along the way out were themselves out.
Valerie and some friends came along. One friend is a boater and was prepared to fend off – but not needed.
The boat backed out nicely (perhaps 12″ aside to spare) and turned around (270 degrees) to make for the exit. Of course it came in fine. My hope is that the improvised stern thruster will allow me to turn around in the other direction – just 90 degrees.
